Our members had a truly special day visiting the residents at Rising Sun Long Term Care Center! Our club has a very special relationship with Rising Sun; we are lucky enough to participate in multiple events with the residents throughout the year, we've decorated the common area for Christmas, decorated Christmas cookies, written letters and shared our photo contest entries with them. In many ways we have become like an extended family to the residents and like us, they (and the staff) look forward to our regular visits.
Last week, members from Cleaver Kids to Seniors brought their cattle and a couple bonus goats along to share some smiles, stories, and a little bit of country spirit.
Community service is a huge part of what we do in 4-H — and we’re so proud of our members for making meaningful connections and brightening the day for these wonderful seniors.
It’s about more than animals — it’s about leadership, compassion, and giving back.
Way to go, Millarville Stockland 4-H!
